After five years aboard the USS Jacksonville, Captain Morgan prepares to depart as the ship’s first officer and XO rotation comes to an end. Delany Christian, the head nurse, bids him an emotional farewell as he walks through the ship, receiving salutes from both injured and able-bodied crew members. Morgan beams to Starfleet Headquarters for a full day of briefings and meetings, confronting the weight of post-war responsibilities and the challenges ahead. The day symbolizes the conclusion of one chapter and the beginning of his next role in Starfleet.
