Mission: Shore Leave & Ship Repairs

The ship is in space dock at the Starbase orbiting Barisa Prime for a couple of days recuperating from an unexpected hit from the Ataran vessel. While waiting, the crew gets a couple of days of R&R, and a few new faces join the crew.

Among other things, Barisa Prime boasts a capital city that is the Vegas of the Beta quadrant: casinos, shows, and restaurants all set to attract and impress guests. There are family friendly options and certainly nature to see off the beaten path.

After recent operations, Captain Johansen addresses the crew of the USS Astrea, acknowledging their efforts, outlining upcoming repairs, and announcing shore leave for those not required for essential duties. Crew members across departments respond, preparing for the transition while balancing responsibilities and personal priorities, from science labs to sickbay to family visits.

While on shore patrol at Barisa Prime, Xalanth responds to a chaotic nightclub brawl involving crew members, Tzenkethi troublemakers, and Orion dancers. Amid the fight, he encounters a familiar face—Vennaa—whose presence ignites a private, electrifying moment once the chaos settles. Duty and desire collide as the night takes a surprising turn.
