Synopsis:

After unpacking and cataloging the first round of equipment, Dani Harper and Hunter Lloyd take “buffer time” to grab drinks from the nearby intelligence office replicator. Over chai and dark roast coffee, they trade notes on replicator blends versus real coffee, discuss their hobbies—from holonovels and workouts to group social outings—and touch on the rhythms of Starfleet life. Their casual exchange highlights the contrast between Dani’s social, adventurous nature and Hunter’s more methodical style, while also building camaraderie between the newly assigned junior officers. With their drinks finished, they reluctantly head back to the lab to resume setting up the ship’s equipment.
