  • USS Astrea – Main Bridge
  • Shuttlecraft Nostromo (docked to alien vessel)

Characters Present:

  • Remira Johansen (Acting Captain)
  • Vila Lorut (Executive Officer / Science)
  • Lt. Ghiram (Science)
  • Lt. Commander Nash Winters (Engineering)
  • Clay McEntyre (Security)
  • Lt. Shelly Guevera (Shuttle Pilot, via comms)
  • Dr. Daniel Jackson (Science Liaison, via comms)
  • Ensign Dani Harper (Science, via comms)
  • Mundy (Engineering / Shuttle Ops, via comms)
  • Tel’im (Romulan Science Liaison, via comms)
Synopsis:

From the Bridge, Johansen monitors the shuttle Nostromo as it becomes locked to the alien craft. Vila Lorut and Lt. Ghiram analyze data: high tachyons, abnormal chroniton levels, and possible signs of microbial or plant life sustained by minimal life support. Nash reports no power readings from the vessel beyond an autonomous docking system. Shuttle sensors confirm unusual alloys around the docking ring matching those in the recovered bracelets.

Nash suggests a mitigation strategy—an isomagnetic pulse through the shuttle’s field coils to dampen radiation exposure—and prepares transport enhancers to guarantee safe retrieval. Vila warns of potential nanotechnology or hazardous metallic compounds.

As discussions unfold, Johansen orders the shuttle team to remain in place until conditions stabilize. She weighs options with her officers and decides to reinforce the away team: Commander McEntyre will lead a security detachment in EV suits, supported by Vila’s science personnel, while Nash coordinates the radiation dampening procedure. Ghiram confirms the radiation levels are dropping below safety thresholds.

With orders given, McEntyre and Vila assemble their teams to beam directly into the alien vessel, preparing to secure the area before the Nostromo crew opens their airlock. The mission edges closer to direct exploration under tightly controlled conditions.
