Noteworthy November Notes from the Department of Redundancy Department
Posted on Sat Nov 15th, 2025 @ 5:10pm by Captain Remy Johansen
Hello Crew!!
Much of this has been shared over Discord, but for those of you who may have missed it, please take note.
1. Tagging rules are now being enforced. Please see our rules page for the timing and how they will be enforced. The purpose of this to keep the Mission posts moving and to give the players some predictability as to when to check the site and be able to count on something to do with their JP's. If you have questions, please see Command.
2. Speaking of Command... Welcome to the player best known as J.B. Dorsainvil to our Command Team! His NPC Vashti Rao is in the process of training to become the CoB, but Shep's status as a Command Team member with all responsibilities and privileges is effective immediately. (If you've been an active writer in the last few months then you know he's earned this by keeping us up and running, writing with everyone who is willing, and even giving our Wiki some excellent new content with Astrea's history.)
3. We've welcomed a new player, Chief Flight Control Officer Sakkar, who has also placed a new character in engineering. Sakkar has already proven to be an enthusiastic writer. Please welcome him with invitations to JP!
4. Crew Awards: Submit your nominations for Writer, Player, and Post of the Month to any of the Command Staff by Noon (Central Standard Time) on the 3rd of each Month. Nominations for November, due Noon CST on 12/3 - That's 6:00 PM UTC on 12/3. (New Zealand, you're on your own... Math is hard enough, date lines - forget about it!
5. If you are still using the sim-station.net URL for the site - STOP NOW!! This will be a dead link come November 19th. We switched over to https://astrea.harperhold.com some time ago, and had both sites operation for quite a while, but sim-station will be expiring, and you will have to move over to the harperhold.com domain. So if you haven't already, change your bookmarks and clear your cache. Change is afoot!
6. I absolutely LOVE this community. I feel so fortunate that we are coming up on two years and we have managed to pull together such an awesome people of great writers who generally care about one another and making the world a better place. Thank you all so much for the love and support you've given to ME this year as I hit a busy and stressful time at work (most of you know my job can be heavy at times), and worked through a move, and some other major life changes. It meant me being the least active I've been on simming - EVER, yet you all have been so patient and stuck with me. You all are the BEST!
My final thoughts to you are to continue to love one another, reach out for community, and let's keep having fun!
Warmest regards,
Nicole (aka Remy)
