Brandon continues his calm interrogation, questioning her about their blank communicators, the search for Rebecca Lange, and the possibility of illegal synth research. Though affected by a truth-inducing serum, Eirly resists fully incriminating Remy, instead speaking openly about her conflicted role: a good officer drawn into a questionable mission out of loyalty and guilt for Brunel’s suffering. Brandon alternates between pressure and courtesy, dimming lights and offering food, while testing her reactions to subtle manipulations. As the serum deepens its grip, Eirly’s guard loosens, revealing personal anecdotes and her desire to see her ship’s doctor again. The exchange closes with Brandon hinting her companions may soon rejoin her, leaving her anxious about their condition.
