Searching for Rebecca Lange Part 6 – Nothing Until I See My Friends

Location: Covert Facility, Himalayas, Earth

Still groggy from capture, Remy is blindfolded and led into a cavernous black cell. Her restraints are cut away only enough to strap her into a chair beneath a blinding lamp. Nathan, a ginger-haired interrogator in a dark suit and sunglasses, taunts her with suave cruelty. He shows her fabricated footage of Eirly and Kas in distress, then strikes her with an agonizer stick when she refuses to “tell the truth.” Remy holds her ground, insisting she is only trying to save a boy and that her officers know nothing.

When Nathan threatens Cardassian truth serum, Remy pushes back, demanding proof of life and an identity for her captor. He gives only a vague answer, calls himself an “information gatherer,” and leaves her to the void, promising the deprivation will wear her down. Outside the cell, Nila Corin voices doubts about the methods used, while Brandon explains Eirly’s partial cooperation and reasons for joining the mission. Nathan remains convinced the Starfleet officers are hiding something deeper.

Alone in the deadened, lightless room, Remy rocks her chair over, using her body to cover her hands as she begins to work a restraint loose with her teeth, bracing herself for whatever comes next. The door opens just as she’s close to freeing one hand.
